Community development/Youth Programme Evaluation in Nepal
Organization/client: Norwegian Red Cross
NorCross invited the team at IWORDS Global (then iwords&images) to participate in the evaluation of two projects supported by them that were implemented by the Nepal Red Cross Society against the five standard criteria of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD): relevance, effectiveness, impact, efficiency, and sustainability. The evaluation methods used included desk review, and a field visit to carry out semi-structured interviews with key informants, focus groups with stakeholders and beneficiaries of the two projects and in situ observation of project activities. The evaluation of these projects led to a complete first report that summarized the main findings, a series of case studies and general and well as project-specific recommendations, which will contribute to determining key lessons learned and further improving the evidence base and presentation of the projects’ results.
